Born and raised in Melbourne Australia, Aimee studied Industrial Design at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology until she was accepted into the prestigious Parsons The New School for Design and made the bold move to New York City. While attending Parsons, Aimee completed design internships for various luxury brands including Ralph Lauren, Isaac Mizrahi Couture, Sass & Bide, Jill Stuart and Alexander McQueen.

In her final year at Parsons, whilst working on her couture accessory thesis collection, Aimee worked as an apprentice at The House of Couture, hand picked and trained as the protégé of New York’s master craftsman Alan Hangad, where she was trained in the key skills and techniques required to master the construction of couture accessories. Aimee’s dedication and drive fused with her relentless attention to detail has proven to giving her a rare head start in a frenzied industry.

"Realizing that my accessories fulfill an important niche in the luxury market place, I began to create "Jatalika".

Aimee was invited and sponsored by the Singaporean government in May 2011 to showcase her couture label Jatalika New York at the exclusive Singapore Blueprint Fashion Gala. Jatalika had its official debut. Gaining immediate success, it received both critical and commercial acclaim from over 55 countries.

With this global success, Aimee is continuing to push the limits in design and creation with every new piece.
